This Far is a five-track EP from BUCKLE N BOOTS, reflecting Bee Ounsworth’s journey through music, family and life, with all the highs, lows and emotions that come with trying to balance them all.

At the heart of the EP is honesty. From making time to escape the pressures of everyday life, to watching your children grow up and realising just how quickly time passes, This Far explores the choices we make, the things that matter and the importance of finding a balance between family life and pursuing a passion for music. It also touches on Bee’s more personal struggles with mental health, bringing vulnerability and emotion alongside the EP’s more uplifting moments.

The latest addition, “My Kinda Country,” brings a fun and proudly British energy to the EP. A feel-good UK country anthem, it celebrates loving country music without feeling the need to fit the traditional American country mould. With a playful nod to British life and culture.

Musically, This Far travels from upbeat, sing-along country through to powerful, soulful ballads, before ending with the beautifully stripped-back “Best Part of Me (Acoustic Version)”, bringing a new sense of innocence, depth and emotion to a BUCKLE N BOOTS original.

This Far is a snapshot of where Bee is today as an artist, a songwriter and a mum. It’s about looking back at how far you’ve come, appreciating what you have now, and continuing to find your own way forward.
